The Up-Turn

Information on Only Real is pretty scarce but one listen to ‘Cadillac Girl’ shows off the only important fact about the project, Only Real is really good.  ‘Cadillac Girl’ is an atmospheric, guitar-lead piece that has the same intimate and lounge feel as King Krule, which give them even more in common than being two young red heads with solo projects based out of England.  I’m rarely a fan of singers pulling a sing/rap routine but as Only Real jumps between a low croon and a rap inflection he never stumbles and the song remains a great listen.  The track is earning some well deserved buzz for Only Real so hopefully we’ll hear some more material coming soon.  Listen to more at their soundcloud…
