A few years ago it would have been hard for me to imagine that the ‘indie-rock’ sound would become nostalgic.  With all the boring bands parading under the indie-rock title it’s refreshing to here a band that actually sounds like it takes elements from the best of The Shins, The Strokes and The Wrens.  With all the lo-fi and electro-pop indie rock bands out there, it’s nice to hear a band that sticks to interesting guitar and bass lines with incredibly tight drums.  If this had been released three years ago, I probably wouldn’t have given it much of a second look, however, Singles is an incredibly timely release that reminds me why I got into music in the first place.  Download here
