Ever since New Jersey rockers Real Estate first released their debut self-titled album, it has been constantly growing on me.  Though Real Estate doesn’t have the most revolutionary sound, they are extremely talented song writers.  It seems that with every song they perfectly capture some type of nostalgic summer mood.  “It’s Real” is no different.  The fairly short song has a little clearer mix than their debut album which highlights the intricate pickings of the lead guitar and if anything improves upon their sound.  “It’s Real” has one of Real Estate’s catchiest hooks so I am sure whatever they plan on releasing in the future will be solid no matter what.  Stream and download below via Domino Records.

Cymbals Eat Guitars’ debut album, Why There Are Mountains, launched the Staten Island quartet into the indie spotlight earning much acclaim and praise.  One of the reasons why so many people stood behind the album was the bands unwillingness to be pinned down.  Each track was dynamic and hard to define.  The newest leak from their upcoming album Lenses Alien is the over 8-minute ‘Rifle Eyesight (Proper Name)’ which shows off the band being as epic, sprawling and experimental as ever.  Like most of their music the song is pretty hard to describe as it changes and shifts over it’s 8-minute length.  Stream and download below…
