12/13/2010 Toro Y Moi – Still Sound
Chaz of Toro Y Moi is steadily becoming one of my favorite song writers of all time. His synth-heavy debut Causers of This was filled with spaced-out jams that never once lost my attention. Now he is prepping to release his second album, Underneath The Pine, which has a current release date of Febuary 22nd 2011. “Still Sound” has a more organic sound than Toro Y Moi’s past work, and Chaz seems to have transitioned from an almost entirely electronic format to a more traditional guitar, bass, drums, and organ rock style very smoothly. This track has me extremely excited for Underneath The Pine.
