The Up-Turn

I fell in love with Spoon’s self-produced album, Transference,  when it was released earlier this year (and I gave it a very positive review).  For the stand-out track and closer, Spoon has released a live version of the song caught on a surveillance camera during a performance at New York’s Cake Shop.  The grainy film and varying perspectives add to the tension and urgency of the song and make it a very interesting watch.  As always the band is incredibly tight and the live performance sounds just as good as the recorded version.  This video is just more proof of why Spoon are one of the best rock and roll bands today.
